A new addition to Umniah’s network was PROTEI Welcome SMS system, which gives operators a solution for providing additional information services both for their own subscribers and for inbound roamers. Such services could include, for example, sending welcome messages to visiting subscribers (roamers), as well as sending information messages to home network subscribers who are in roaming. Successful registration of the roamer in the visited network serves as the trigger for activating SMS delivery.

It is worth mentioning that Silat’s integrated product lines that include: Messaging, Roaming, Value Added Services, Customer Care, NGN, Transport & SIM card applications, currently cater more than 37 mobile and fixed-line operators in 17 countries to serve over 100 million subscribers across the world.
